Bottle. Poured pale yellow with thin white head. No lacing. Sweet malt aroma. Flavour of malt and sugar. Not mych bitterness. Sweet malt flavour. Not sure what they were striving for here, but it’s not a helles. Not bad though, better than most pale lagers.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of cardboard and alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol, which leaves a slight burn on the palate. Too simple.

0.33 l bottle from a store in Tirane, Albania, if I remember well. Poured pale golden body with medium sized head that went down soon. Very weak aroma, only some stale malts. Flavor is interesting though, a bit sweetish malty with hay and some fruits if you extend your imagination. Interesting, but I still didn’t like it so much. Even more strange were the notes of belgian ale yeast in its finish. OK and pretty pleasant, but no better than average pale lager.

Bottle courtesy of and shared with heavy who found it in Albania (thanks!) Poured a yellow body with a medium sized white head that went away fast. The nose wasn’t impressive, odd malt and honey, a bit alcohol. The taste is malty as well I guess, notes of hay and wood, some soapy fruity sweetness. Better than expected by being passable. Still, nothing special.

Biggish white head with some bigger bubbles. Yellow body with carbonation. Rubbery grainy aroma with mealy sugary notes. Dry-acidic unclean grainy sugary taste with rubbery notes. Dry papery maize aftertaste lingers. This was unpleasant. Didn’t finish it. (0.33l bottle, Wine Monopoly.)

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color lager with a large pure white foamy head with some good retention but no lacing. Aroma consists of sweet malt with some minimal adjunct showing. Taste is also dominated by a bland medium sweet malt taste with no easily discernable adjunct. Not the most complex beer out there but definitely not the worst pale lager out there.

(Can 33 cl) Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours an opaque black with a handsome, frothy and rather retentive light brown head. Weird aroma of burned malt, dust and dirt - guess that’s ginseng for you. Medium body with a low carbonation and a soft mouthfeel. Very burned malt accents coffee and ashes and a malt bitter finish. Admittedly an alternatively smelling beer, but them Aussie below are wussies for being THAT put off... :-) 030608

typical aroma for the style, but a little high on the egg smell. clear yellow with quite nice small white head. Not at all a gourmet beer, but a good session beer imo. taste is refreshing, not much, a little sweet notes, otherwise your typical pale lager. NOT the bad taste found in some discount pale lagers. This one is okay.

Bottle, Emni Indian Restaurant, Islington. This is a good get out of jail card when there is a limited choice of brews on offer (especially at Indian/Asian restaurants!) . Flavour is sweetish with a slightly dry finish. Nothing great by any stretch of the imagination, but as lagers go there are far far worse out there, and with a spicy meal its fine.
