Bottle at Met vegetarian restaurant, Hanoi. What you'd expect from such a lager really. Light looking. No aroma. Slight macro metal.

330ml bottle from a Phnom Penh convenience store. Poured a crystal clear copper colour with a lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is malt, light oak and hints of whisky. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a smooth, earthy, herbal, oaky, light whisky palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. A little bit too fizzy. Kinda fake and chemical. Not bad, but not good either.

440ml can from a Makati 7-11. Poured a clear golden colour with a short-lived fizzy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is toffee caramel, light alcohol. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, sickly sweet watery toffee palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. No reason to actually buy this other than to tick. Pretty grim.

6.8% ABV can, Singaporean. I remember liking this at a station hawker centre in Singapore but holidays warp the judgement. And it might have been last century. Very dark reddish brown with a good inch of tan head. Roasty aroma with some mocha and hints of soy sauce. Weak palate really lacks richness and makes the roast seem burnt. Plainish bitter finish.

Older tasting notes - enjoyed it as a refreshment in the heat, but it was not memorable, light tastes and aromas of malts and grains. Standard fare.

Pours a clear, medium colored golden. Medium sized white head. Scent is corn, creamy, simple and syrupy. Notes of DMS. Not great, but what did I expect ? Taste is sharp, relatively high - but not very natural - bitterness. Ends with a downer, quite sticky, simple maltsyrupy, maize, sweet. Feels vibrant due to the higher carbonation level and short-lived-peak of bitterness. Not amazing, but not disgusting. Just plain, boring and industrial.

Malt aroma. Fizzy and refreshing. Malt taste as expected, mid-sweet and light bitterness.
