Draught
Golden with a good cloudy head, lots of lace. Crisp, lemony aroma, not very strong. Medium-bodied, malty, some hoppyness rises in the finish.

Bottled. Copper coloured, small white bubbly head. Dry fruit and citric caramellish notes in aroma. Caramellish malty aroma with a bit hoppy finish. Also some hints of alcohol, but it fits the beer well. Licorace, caramel and alcohol in aftertaste. Full palate, and very smooth.

Clear copper color with huge, foamy white head - herbal, hoppy. pilsner-like aroma, a few earthy tones - mildly sweety up front, with caramel and light berries, followed by a grassy, herbal quality, making way for a clean, hoppy finish - a well-balanced maibock.

Bottle. Aroma of harsh hops. Dark copper colour. Unstable head. Flavour is bitter, bready and strangely hoppy. Aftertaste has a slight hint of roastiness.

Bottle, BB 1990, 17 years ago. Still looks and tastes good after this much time, even though I usually do not care for aged beers.

Bottle: Floral hoppy nose, big fluffy head, lasting; pale golden coloured, distinctive traces of sweet maltiness; starts bitter-sweet, moderate bitter-sweet flavour, becoming quite dry, spicy and hoppy towards the end; light bodied, but not watery at all, a bit spicier than the average german Pilseners and quite well balanced.....

Enjoyable, if unfortunately light struck! A well balanced not cloying dose of melanoidiny malts, easy finish. It was so drinkable I got through it so quickly I almost forgot to rate it! The glass was near empty when I realized I hadn’t even paid real close attention since the first sip. There’s a medium earthiness underlying the caramelized malts. Palate was light and soft, if almost thin, but it worked in keeping the potentially heavy melanoidins at bay.

Attractive deep reddish copper color, small head, lotsa big bubbles in the glass, no lacing. Heavy super-melanoidin aroma, mild earthiness coupled with huge toffee candy. Flavor same, heavy and thick with sweet melanoidin malt, a bit tart tugging at the sides of the tongue, a modest floral hop finish attempting to keep things in balance. Quite a bock.

Bottle, 6.5%. Clear dark amber colour. Good white head, almost stable. Good sweet flavour, nicely malty. Balanced by a bit of alcohol and a good, grassy hoppiness.

Bottle. Maizy, acidic aroma. Golden colour, small white head. Good mouthfeel. Sharpish bitterness. Quite clean tasting, but a little too similar to strong lager. I do not see why this is so popular.
