12 ounce can from Woodman's Appleton, 12/4/20. Black, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roast, tobacco, chocolate, coffee. Taste is roast, dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruits. Medium bodied. Nice old school chewy stout.

12oz can. Sort of the classic low ABV Stout that is missing in the current beer world, so kudos to Ale Asylum for helping fill that void. The label is another amateurish drawing of a gothic type young woman with a cup of coffee...but I don't think this is a coffee stout. hmm. Not much hop balance at all, just a smooth, bready Stout. Good, but not great. As with most AA releases over the last few years, it comes across a little messy, with limited finesse, something thrown together quickly and then cranked out, a lazy idea not all the way dialed in.

16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Hazy, dark golden pour, thin foamy , fades to skin. Light citrusy aroma. Taste starts with slight caramel Malts, then slathering on some soft bitter hops, spotty citrus notes. Dry finish.

2 week old pint can A: Poured practically flat with almost no head which fell immediately. Dull orange gold body is mildly cloudy. S: Muted scent of tart citrus and faint caramel. T: A sharply bitter grapefruit note hits and lingers into a sour mineral or vegetal flavor. Indescribable chemical-ness otherwise. M: Weak carbonation and medium body. Unpleasant finish. O: Not particularly good in any aspect. A complete waste.

Can thanks to Tyler! Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has straw and bread with a hint of popcorn underlying. Flavor is mainly straw with some bread and a touch of popcorn in the finish.

Hardy har har I says about the can. My wife upon seeing the cloudy beer, says it looks like a really really bad UTI. Yea. Raises a good question - why do people go crazy over the hazy IPA thing? I mean, they taste OK, but do they have to look like that? So whadda we got? FIrst, totally clouded white-orange, big foamy head. Nose is light resin, vague tropical fruit, like a faint pineapple smell somewhere in the garage. Juicy palate, resin and pine flavors mostly, maybe some more of that pineapple. Low carb adds to the juiciness. Its not bad at all but mostly meh. Light bitterness. The worst possible thing I could say is that it tastes like hop-resin flavored water. Really there's not much of a malt presence here.

4 pack grab. Dirty orange pour and decent sized head. Nose is fruity and some hoppy resin. Tastes of melon, orange, resin, garbage juice.

Can from TapRM: pours slightly hazy copper with a white head. Aroma is citrusy fruitiness. Taste is very watery and pretty weak generally. Ale Asylum is not a good brewery.

Can from TapRM: pours pale gold with gold head. Aroma is little corny, bready, slightly grassy. Taste is sweet, not too thin, low bitterness. Gimmick, but I do need more Wisconsin ticks.

Bottle. A- Corn. A- Yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Corn, mild orange essence. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Quite refreshing. Not as crisp as I'd like but a smooth taste that doesn't get unbalanced or metallic as it warms. Great name for 2020. Enjoyed this.
