dark golden to bright amber colour, huge, dense and long lasting beige-ish ecru head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of pine, grapefruit, peach, some orange peel oils and minimal celery notes; taste is quite hoppy-bittery with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; quite good IPA

Bottle. It got a bit overheated in the car and leaked so I opened it asap. Hazy light amber with big fluffy beige head. Caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, grapes, dry weedy hops, citrus peel. Medium sweet and bitter and medium bodied too. OK mix of special malts with solid hops.

Amber with a lingering frothy head. Fruity aroma full of peach and citrus. Taste is bittersweet to bitter, mildly bitter at the finish. Slight staleness to the hops. This has been in the cellar for 3 months but we’re still a couple months before the expiration date. Medium body, moderate to mild carbonation. Okay.

Brown to auburn with a creamy, off white head. Murky but with quite visible carbonation. Like most of the Alsace Christmas beers this one goes heavy on the cinnamon and clove. It’s a struggle though to pick much else out from beneath the heavy layer of spice. Taste is sweet, full of sugar and cinnamon. Simple stuff. A bit of a gimmick really but at least it does it’s thing without error. The body has a nice, round feel and the carbonation works well enough with the sugary flavors to have you burping in no time. Ho ho.
