We are committed to doing our part for the environment at the brewery. Our used malt goes to some local farms for use in agriculture. We also use our spent hops for composting, which helps enrich our small garden, where we attempt to grow some classic British hop varieties such as Fuggle and Target.
Closed because of retirement.

It’s a Japanese origin hop, not American. Hazy gold beer, big fluffy pale cream colour head. The malts are thin with a mild creamy sweetness. Hops are rich Sorachi lemon with undertones of orange and bitterish herb. Smooth semi dry finish. Mild bitter linger. Marvellous! It’s hard to go wrong with Sorachi and I feel genuinely sorry for people who don’t like it.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden orange with a slight haze. Quite lively head. Nose - lemon zest and light herb. Taste - a bit lemon sherbet. Palate - light bodied with a dry tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - I’m not sure this is the intended final product. Some accidental wild yeast influence.

500ml bottle from Great Grog, shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy pale gold with a massive bubbly white head. Bit over-carbonated looking. Nose confirms it’s massively sherbetty, which is dominating any NS character. Taste is bitter, woody, yeasty. Astringent, unpleasant finish. Drain pour.

Hazy amber beer, small cream colour head. Fruity nose, lightly sour. Palate is light, semi dry and minerally crisp. Light brett. Moderately sour generic fruits, cherry and orange identifiable. Crisp finish. Not sure if the end result was what the brewer intended, but it’s all right.
