Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, lime, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, clove, light banana, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Okay aromas with balanced fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt notes; with poor strength. Taste of lemon, lime, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, clove, light banana, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness/yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, clove, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is good; a bit thin for the style. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a decent witbier. All around solid complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

Aromas of lightly tart raspberry, lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, light coriander, light banana/clove, wheat, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, raspberry, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lightly tart raspberry, lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, light coriander, light banana/clove, wheat, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light yeast spiciness and fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of raspberry, lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, raspberry, and pale malt flavors; with a good malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a good fruited witbier style. (bottle) cloudy yellow colour with a small white head; aroma fruit; bland flavour with no finish

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Orange with small white head. Aroma is ripe banana, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is slightly artificial banana and spice. Expected little, but not horrible, one of the better shock tops.

12ozbottle into a Corsendonk badged stemmed tulip glass on 26th April 2016, Lugana Niguel at my daughters. Red hue to the mahogany body, head departed before it arrived. Sweet flavours over a red berry and malty nose, some caramel notes in the sweetness, calmed down in the sweet stakes by those aforementioned red berries and a spicy hint or two. No bread or pretzel flavours for me. Different and almost interesting, pity about the head being a ’no show’.
