Pours a clear golden color, topped with an average white head. There is a slightly skunky smell at first, followed by a malty aroma. The taste is slightly watery, but not sweet. A decent bitterness in the body and in the finish. Surprisingly decent.

Bottle shared at the DTE tasting big thanks to Daenso. Pours pale golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, light malt and typical crappy pale lager. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle at the DTE tasting, Den Haag. Poured a clear light straw with no head at all. The aroma is light malt. The flavour is light bitter with a watery malt light hop palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Pretty awful.

Bottle in St Maarten during a cruise stop last year. Drunk from bottle. Light golden colour. Aroma of grass and hop. Moderately carbonated. Was ok in the heat of the day.

Old rating from a bottle brewed in Curaçao. Clear golden with a slightly sweetish aroma. The beer is refreshing and not very deep in aroma. Hints of bitterness to the end, moderate sweetness, easy to drink.

On the 3rd April 2014 my cruise ship docked in Willemstadt and I went in search of old bottles of this brew (when it was brewed on the island it was the only beer in the world that used desalinated sea water for the liquor), the brewery having been shut down some time now. Sadly I couldn’t find any of the original beer, just the Dutch brewed replacement. I however had plenty of the clear 27.5cl bottles sat on the quayside watching the boats and world go by. Refreshing and clean tasting, light golden in colour, the white head can be as big or small as you wish, just pour it fast or slow: most people tend to drink it straight from the bottle though! Very little aroma or taste, it’s just a thirst quencher really. One beer I did find was a ’Florida Brewing Co’ beer from Auburndale, called ’Polar’. That’s a closed brewery too!

Bardzo slabe i cienkie to piwo. Piana srednia ale blyskawicznie opada, kolor jasniutki, slomkowy. Czysty posmak delikatnosci, sprawia wrazenie rozwodnionego. Nieco cytrynowy finisz. Te walory jakie ma to piwo nadaja sie tylko na wyspy karaibskie i tamten upalny klimat. W przeciwnym razie nie oplaca sie go nawet kosztowac.
