Bottle shared in Brussels. Pours unclear gold with a bubbly white topping. Medium sweet flavour, fairly funky, bit of brett, barnyard, bread, mild bitter hay, tangerine. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Mild warmth to finish, but of bitterness. Not bad.

Bottle at home. Grabbed from crafted not often a new Scottish brewery makes it round these parts. Dark pour. Nose is molasses and cherry. Tastes of dark cherry, soy sauce, chocolate, espresso, red wine and licorice. Smooth palate. Some booze

Now that's a well carbonated beer, a torrent of very fine bubbles. Taste isn't what I expected. Sweet soft straw malts, solid touches of honey up front, a little stone fruit. The barrel, oak? is solidly there at the back of your tongue. And the funk is more sock than aserbic. Not a sour barrel rabble rouser, but good.
Initially really sour, almost lambic level. Then the dryness takes over and it doesn't seem so sour after all...
