12 oz. can purchased at Total Wine in Denton, TX. Pours a clear dark bronze color with a tight khaki head and good retention. Looks like an Oktoberfest. Fair lacing. Caramel malts aroma. Acidic caramel malt flavor, with the typical chemical red ale finish. Medium body. Bitter finish. Maybe just a touch sweeter and smoother than the average red. The 6.0% ABV is well hidden.

Bought in a sixer at the close-by supermarket as total unknown. I thought the name was a hoot and worth the chance. The 12 oz. can pours a quite fine copper-yellow liquid and a nice, lacey white foam. The nose is inviting, pine and tropical fruit. The initial taste takes me back a bit. I get a dry on the tongue hop kick, grain and a bit of acridity. It settles in better though. A lingering bitterness, still dry. The alcohol is covered, I do not detect it at all. Interesting but not outstanding.

Shaker pint draft at the Texas Ale Project in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a hazed yellow golden with a well formed one inch white head that leaves behind coating lace. The aroma is a fresh soft citrus along wit floral hop. The taste is the citrus floral hop, with some soft resin dank, and a bit of a wheat grain character. The palate is medium bodied with an unfiltered body and soft natural carbonation, soft resin lingers. Nice one.

Shaker pint draft at the Texas Ale Project in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a clear golden with carbonation bubbles rising to the surface to form a foamy one inch white head. Nice thick lace left behind on the glass. The aroma is cereal grain, fresh, along with lemon. The taste is the fresh and clean malt, grain, soft cereal and a bit of the lemon with a touch of sweet. Nice hay and earth mineral in the finish. The palate is a light bodied with an unfiltered mouth feel and the hay and mineral finish. Nice one.
