YaYa Brewing Company
Microbrewery in Spokane Valley, Washington, United States 🇺🇸
Lara was an avid proponent of helping people, kindness, academia, and most importantly, beer. So when Lara passed away in 2014, her brothers knew what had to be done.
Co-founder and Brewmaster, Chris, had been involved in the home-brewing scene since the early-2000s and knew it was time to take the step into the realm of professional brewing. The decision was made on a trip near Nashville, Tennessee. We are a family-owned brewery with a focus on community, team, education, and beer.
We strive to create beers that would make our sister proud; brewed with integrity, character, and pride. In true Lara form, we also intend to lend a hand to the community in which we live. As such, a percentage of all tasting room sales of our flagship beer, Angel IPA, will be donated to local charities.

Pours a nice clear light gold from a can, thick pillowy head is pretty long-lasting. Notes of spicy noble hop, but also very fruity, apple and asian pear. Similar flavor, very crisp but some sweetness too. Even a faint oily finish. Pretty good beer.

Draft 12 oz pour enjoyed at Route 2, Monroe. Dark, near black appearance with a dark tan cream foam. Big spicy cinnamon nose. Flavor is bold, sweet cream backed, with spicy winter spices, and a floral note. Intense flavor for a milk stout, which tends to be silky smooth on the palate. Cinnamon really spiced this one up. Bonus point for being so unique. Really interesting brew here. Would love to find the oaked version to compare

Can from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a large, white head that laced somewhat. Aroma is bready with spice notes. Med body or so. Flavor matches aroma, but the spice is pretty strong. Bready/floral/spice. Dry. Bitter. Nice kolsch.

On tap at Post Street Alehouse. Deep chestnut brown pour with a small tan head. Nose is light roast, a bit of cocoa, and maltiness. Deep roast and malty vibe overall, light chocolate and nutty undertones. One of the better brown ales I've had in quite a while.

Draft at the Handlebar. Hazy golden pour, patchy head. Fruity, tropical aroma, melon. Bitterness, while not overwhelming, is the leading factor in the taste. Fruity, mild sweetness, full mouthfeel. Bitterness lingers for a while.

Pint can from Smokes n Suds. Flat hazy yellow pour with a large white head. Aroma is a bit subdued; it's sweet with citrus and tropical fruit. A little grassy. Tastes on the sweet side with lots of tropical fruit flavors. Mild citrus and a light lingering bitterness.

Pint can. Very dark brown color with a big tan head. Deep aroma is swirling chocolate, roast, and coconut. Tastes lightly sweet and with deep roast and a bittersweet cocoa vibe. The coconut is clearly leading the way with a nice cocoa boost and mild roast. Paired with breakfast (for dinner) and it really shined with the maple syrup and sausage patties. Delish.
