Canned July 25th.

Not quite pitch black with oodles of tannish foam that’s long lasting.

Roasted malt smell with a hint of smoke and a milky lactose aroma.

Good roast but that lactose flavour detracts more than I wished. The tiniest hint of smoke doesn’t help much.

Smooth mouthfeel with rather light carbonation.

Drinkable but really not something I would buy again.

Canned June 22, 2016.

Nice head of foam sitting on a clear gold liquid, the foam lasts, leaving some lacing.

Smells and tastes grassy, some pine, tiny bit of citrus, solid malt backbone. Balanced but not very exciting.

Medium body with light carbonation.

A smooth drinker but perhaps too smooth. Not a fan of the hop profile and the malt build is just okay.

12 ounce can, paper label, no dating.

Pours a very dark brown with reddish hues, ample head of long lasting foam. Nice lacing.

Smells of coffee, cocoa, vanilla with a bit of booze.

Tastes coffee and cocoa forward with vanilla and some nutty character to round things off. Very little alcohol in the taste.

Full bodied with medium carbonation.

Very very nice. ~$13 for a 6-pack. Worthy.

12oz can pours with a crystal clear gold body that supports a thin bright white head. The aroma offers up creamed corn, apple and pear as well as a hint of floral hops and grain husks. The taste delivers creamed corn, a slight 7Up sensation and then a bit of hoppy apple and then pear to midway. It picks up a pleasing graininess at times into the finish creating added and welcome balance.

Bottle thanks to Santa Craig. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. A light fruity nose. Really clean flavorful light lager, some toast, honey, pils malt. Very clean. Lovely little hole.

Sample at GABF 09/26/2015, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Dark brown color with a medium thick beige head that diminishes steadily. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of smoked malt, coffee and chocolate. Light-bodied with a roasty malt and coffee character with some bittersweet chocolate in the background. The finish is roasty with a charred malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
