16oz can from brewery. Hazy gold n pour, spotty head. Tropical fruit aroma with some tart essence. Taste is tart, tropical fruit, pineapple, guava. A little bit dry.

Can pour at Level Crossing - Post District. Dark brown pour, thin cream colored head. Sweet aroma, raisins, malty, no barrel notes, yet. Taste is sweet, raisins, jam, still not a lot of barrel. Smooth, jammy notes, chocolate, latent heat, chocolate covered raisins. Sneaks up on you.

16oz can at taproom. Near black pour, thin layer of tight, beige foam. Roasty aroma, coffee, burnt toast. Taste is roasty, some sweetness before the bitterness kicks in. Full and creamy feel, light lingering bitterness. Luscious.

Taster flight at LC- Post District. Coper our, spotty head, light lacing. Aroma is a little bit malty, a little bit old school hops. Taste starts with a sweet, hoppy bite, soft caramel notes behind, bitterness gets tempered by the sweetness, for some minor coating at the finish.

Taster flight at LC- Post District. Deep golden pour, clear, barely there head but leaves lacing. Biscuity, bready aroma, fruity notes. Taste is grainy and sweet, slick feel, fruit backend and a little bit sticky.

Taster at Level Crossing - Post District. Bright, clear golden pour, wispy he'd, rings of lacing. Light biscuity aroma, grassy. Taste is grainy & sweet, full feel but a rather abrupt finish.

Can: pours copper with beige head. Loads of vanilla and dark fruit. Whisky, wood. Taste is sweet. Barrel plays heavily and overruns the doppelbock a bit (having had the base beer immediately before).
