Can pores unclear magenta with a medium whitish pink head. Aroma is berries, raspberry and blueberry; prominent slight notes of vanilla as well. The flavor is light sweet, light tart, less pastry than expected strong berry notes and vanilla. Medium body lingering tartness.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours brassy gold with large white bubbles that stuck around. Aroma is very, very lightly sour with a touch of citrus. Med body at least. Flavor is lightly but firmly sour. Touch of citrus. Pale malt isn’t making much of an impression. I think this nails the style. Good drink.

Taster at brewery. Light amber, small ring of head. Woody, malty aroma, caramel. Tastestarts with a brief hop bite, followed by sweet caramel malts. The bitterness lingers in the back for quite a while. Smells strong, but doesn't feel strong.

Small pour at the brewery. Interupted my flight for this, as it was too intriguing and I didn't want to wreck my palate before advancing to the heavier beers. Pale straw color, hazy, ring of head. Full grainy aroma, light lemon. Taste is full on kölsch with an edge, a bit more of the hoppy backend than is the norm. Nice.

Draft at Stassi's. Very pale straw color, tiny ring of fine beaded head. Aroma is crackers, biscuit malts. Taste follows with more bready goodness, a snap of lemon appears from out of nowhere. Really smooth and full. Could use a bigger hops finish.
