On tap at the source. It pours a golden color with a creamy off white head. The aroma has some pleasant notes of overripe fruit, dried apricots and a little pepper. The flavor is smooth with more apricot and a hint of plum. Light pepper. A little too sweet in the finish and the carbonation is too low for the style, which hurts the mouth feel. Pretty easy to drink though, as the alcohol isn’t noticeable. The flavors are good, just needs to be drier and have more carbonation.

On tap at Shadow Puppet. It pours a dark brown color with ruby highlights and a creamy, light tan head. The aroma has strong coconut and chocolate. Hints of almonds. The flavor has big coconut, almond and chocolate, but not too sweet. A near perfect replica of an Almond Joy bar without being heavy or sweet on the palate. Light hints of dark fruit as it warms. Really tasty. The alcohol is hardly noticeable. Well done.

On tap at the brewery. It pours an amber color with a light tan head. The aroma has big caramel, maple and plummy malts. Not getting a lot of hops except for maybe a hint of resin. The flavor is syrupy, but has a nice cherry maple quality with some floral and spicy hop bitterness. Huge flavor in this one. Well placed malt sweetness and aggressive yet supportive bitterness. A bit syrupy on the palate, but the alcohol is pretty well hidden. Pretty good if you like this kind of beer.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a deep amber brown color with a tan head. The aroma has caramel, toast and fruit. Lots of baked apple, pear, plum, raisin and a little brown sugar. Sweet on the nose. The flavor is the same with a slight lemony tang. Mostly plum, pear and baked apple though. Very little, if any bitterness. Light bodied and actually pretty interesting.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a lightly hazed pale yellow color with a creamy white head. The aroma definitely has some strong, sweet guava and lemony notes. The flavor is the same. Light bodied with candy-like lemon and guava. Pleasing, clean acidity. Good one.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a cola brown color with a creamy khaki head. The aroma has sweet creamy latte with a little cocoa and vanilla. The flavor has a little cola, cocoa and coffee. More cola than anything else, especially in the finish. Good balance and mouth feel. Pretty good, but I could’ve used a bit more coffee and chocolate.

On tap at the source. It pours a clear golden color with a large frothy off white head. The aroma is juicy with peach, pineapple, light mango and grapefruit. Very fruity with a floral kick. Pale malts. The flavor has a bit more toasted malt and spicy/piney bitterness. Lots of peach and honey. Oily body. The honey and fruit character reminds me a lot of some of Lagunitas’ big hoppy beers, but this one has a little heavier toasted malt and piney/spicy hops in the finish. Not bad at all though. Solid all around.
