Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours dark brn/blk with a large foamy darkish tan head. Aroma is chocolate with roasty/toasty/burnt malt support. Very interesting aroma combination. Full bodied. Flavor is dark chocolate, heat, toasty/burnt malt. It's not dry, but not overly sweet. It's bitter from chocolate, heat, burnt malt. Almost silky except for the distraction from heat. Which isn't a bad thing. Here, heat is a flavor component. Like BA - which this isn't.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours clear bright copper with a large, foamy off-white head. Aroma of very nice chocolate with a hint of coffee; malt is not at all burnt/toast. Very caramel. Med body or so. Flavor is very nice chocolate - closer to milk than dark. Nice coffee too. Malt is toffee/caramel. Lactose seems to keep this not all that bitter, but it's not super sweet either. Tasty in a laid back/refined way.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy tan head. Aroma of smooth dark malt with moderate/light coffee and chocolate notes. Med body at least. Flavor is lightly burnt/toasted malt with some coffee and chocolate notes. Malty, but reasonably dry. Burnt malt bitter. Quite tasty.
