Deep dark brown coloured body with a rich two to three centimetre tall light brown head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of bright coffee with some floral elements, but a mainly roasted malt flavour with some oatmeal and caramelised sugars with a dose of nuts and earth and finishing with some subtle notes of fruit - perhaps the pinot barrels, but I feel like its more blueberry or marionberries. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich roasted malt notes dominate with some vanilla and earth, but more of the lightly brewed coffee flavours and a touch of hazlenuts and grain. Aftertaste shows a good balance of sweetness and malts without any real bitterness or pungency, with some coffee and vanilla coming through as well with a dose of soft sugars at the very end. Overall, a pretty nice and mild porter with good cofffee flavours along with some subtle nuts and earthiness - great to sample, especially very fresh and still here in Oregon! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 28-March-2021 for US$4,49, canned on 14-December-2020, sampled in my hotel room here in Bend, Oregon on 28-March-2021, a few hours later.

Dark red body with lasting off white head. Light bread aroma. Bready malt taste with a hop edge, seems hoppier than most reds. Nice finish. Good with biltong.
