Pours a mahogany brown from a can. Faint maple aroma is overwhelmed by standard brown ale malts. Somewhat bitter, not picking up on any smoke. Good beer.

Pours garnet tinged mahogany into an English pint. Mocha head with medium retention recedes leaving sheet lacing to skim surface. Sweet maple and mild smoke aromas. Soft with dark caramel and maple upfront turning to sourdough pumpernickel before the dry, burnt toast finish. Becomes cloying and unpleasant as it warms..

Can pour from Andover Classic Wines. Appearance is pretty clear ruby red with nice sparkle, finger-width beige head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong molasses, earthy malt and mild fruit. Taste follows aroma. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste with mild lingering bitterness. Overall, pretty and strong aroma and flavors. A tad over carbonated. Good.

On draft. Pours a murky yellow with almost no head. Big tropical fruit and citrus aroma typical of a NEIPA. Flavour is fuller than most NEIPAs, stone fruit and mango. Nice bitter finish.
