Description
Our brewery derives its name from the first two atomic bombs detonated at the Nevada Test Site. These two test explosions were codenamed after the military’s phonetic alphabet of the time, making them tests “Able” and “Baker”.

The experimentation at the Nevada Test Site led to the refining of the Atomic Bomb and the ushering in of the Nuclear Age. This was a notable time in Nevada as “Atomic Blast” viewing parties were commonplace and several “Miss Atomic” beauty queens were crowned. The Atomic Age influences our artwork and concepts while allowing us to give a respectful nod to Nevada’s unique state history.

I am not a fan of blueberries in beer but this was fantastic. Whipped cream with blueberry, dessert like in flavor but not in the body. Mouth puckering that doesn't last too long which is perfect.

Sept '23, Vegas. Dark, matte, brown over black, cocoa pour @Able Baker. Sweet charred brown sugar, charcoal, a little maple, half sweet nose. Half sharp, very oily texture, black cake, maybe too sweet, boozy barrel, roasty with a strong char finish. Good-ish+.

Able Baker, Vegas, Sept. '23. Clear, deep russet, ruby, enticing. Black pepper, malty, sticky nose. Cola spice & acid laced, sticky half toasty malt, turning pepper jam acid sweet, then straight black cake dense. Cola acid lingers, hard carb, it comes off like spicy rye. Kinda good, spirited & fun, just short of great.

Sept '23 notes. Clear, dark ruby russet, heavy & flat sheen. Toffee, medium roast, burnt raisin nose. Taste is caramel, mellow roast, slight veg bitterness, pretzel, hidden acid. Stiff, sort of sweet strong ale maybe brew. Kinda okay.

September '23. Hazy, very pale, sticky lace. Fresh veg, grass, soft orange & onion nose. Itchy, sweet onion, medium pith, black pepper, itchy veg; spirited bite, lingering acid. Love the abv to flavor ratio, but it only goes so far.

September '23 notes. Dark, kinda matte, brown over black, weak cocoa head. Sharp & fruity, dangerous pepper nose that overwhelms the sticky malt. Unsure how hot this could be. More green peppers on the initial sip than expected. Hollow warrior. Frothy, sticky, toasted mallow, charred crust, chili oil sans heat, sharp & acidic chilies without the fruit edge. Veg finish as expected. Oily chili burps, barely any heat. Really fun.

Sept '23. Clear, vibrant medium gold, active, thin lace. Fruity floral, baked, heavy clove, apple. Dry floral, fennel, medium all spice, white pepper, airy loaf of bread. Sharp & thin initially, dusty & yeasty on the finish. A bit too spiced & stuck.

Able Baker, Vegas, Sept'23. Oily, half hazy, orange gold pour. Floral, tropical, wheat-y, not juicy enough nose. Earthy, tart berry extract, seltzer, sharp pineapple, floral fruit, confectionery sweetness. Starchy, decent acid, itchy texture. Pass.
