Description
Our brewery derives its name from the first two atomic bombs detonated at the Nevada Test Site. These two test explosions were codenamed after the military’s phonetic alphabet of the time, making them tests “Able” and “Baker”.

The experimentation at the Nevada Test Site led to the refining of the Atomic Bomb and the ushering in of the Nuclear Age. This was a notable time in Nevada as “Atomic Blast” viewing parties were commonplace and several “Miss Atomic” beauty queens were crowned. The Atomic Age influences our artwork and concepts while allowing us to give a respectful nod to Nevada’s unique state history.

Dark brown, no head. Aroma has lots of coconut, a bit of barrel. Lots of sweet coconut, the malts are a bit flabby. This isn’t great on the palate despite the aroma.

Dullish hazy, thin head. Stone fruit and citrus on the nose, but on the palate it’s rich with limonene terpy goodness. Malt base is a bit on the sweeter side but I’ll let it slide.

Dark brown, no head. Sweet tho simple malt base. Some vanilla notes. Full body, though lacking the richness of the best examples. Good barrel character lending some roundness.

Brown, opaque. No head. Spicy, some background sweetness, also malts that come across light for a beer of this size. Splash of alcohol late. For the concept I think I’d expect either bigger, more complex or both.

Hazy, pale, just a thin head. Sort of thin, vinous, a little bit buggy. I’m not sold on the ferm…aiming for complex buggy wine beer but not quite getting there.

Dark brown, not much head. Lots of smoke on the nose. Smokey palate, some sweet malts. So not a lager brewery and it shows…but that said the base isn’t all that far off. A bit yeasty, a bit gloppy but overall a good effort.

Slight haze, no head. Med bitterness, leafy hops…but not the most expressive hop, more in line with the malt.

Slight haze, amber, some oniony stuff on the nose. It’s got moderate bitterness, some fruit, no hop burn but maybe a bit on the sweet side for me.

On a flight in the new Brew Dog place in Las Vegas on 6th December 2022, fourth day of opening. Clear (almost) golden body, white head. Citrus front with a semi-sweet malty backbone, grapefruit bitterness with a pine needle after thought.
