Laws 4 Grain barrel-aged variant. Pours an opaque, reddish-brown color, with a small, beige head. The aroma is pine, orange, leather, syrup, and earth. Sweet and a little boozy, and quite bitter. Heavy body, with a sticky, astringent mouthfeel. This is a big, sticky, and barrel forward beer.

From a 12 oz. can. Pours a hazy copper with an ecru head. Aromas of tropical fruit and pine. Flavors are bitter citrus with some sweet caramel malt. Bitter finish.

Shaker pint draft at Declaration Brewing in Denver, Colorado. The pour is a clear golden copper with a limited white head. The aroma is clean cereal malt along with grass hop and a nice bread character. The taste is the cereal and bread malt balanced really cleanly with the grass hops. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and dry, mineral finish. Easy drinking beer.

Taster at the brewery - hazy Amber - this beer is hot and boozy as fuck - Jesus, it burns - I just paid a dollar an ounce for this and it tastes like straight up booze, with underlying pine and citrus - the worst thing is I can tell the base beer is actually pretty good - ugh.

Pint at the brewery - hazy gold - mild banana and clove in the nose - creamy texture - dry, earthy wheat, light spiciness, a bit of melon - lacking the complex yeast character you'd want in the style.
