Cask, half pint well kept and served at the large Wetherspoons in the centre of Milton Keynes. Dense, thin white head blanketing the glass. Clear copper body colour. Faint aroma of grassy hops. Weak malt-fruity taste. Clean bitter end. Easy drinking, does not feel too thin. Food friendly, 21.03.2011.

Half, cask at Wetherspoons in MK. Filmy, but lasting, white head. Golden-brown in body appearance. Aroma brings resin-like hops and sweet malts. Choco-caramel malts and herbal hops in flavour. Medium bodied. Smooth on the swallow. Above average (Milton Keynes, 21.03.2011).

Cask at the Crosse Key, JDW. Clear gold pour with an oily cream head. Musty malts and faint, earthy hops. Rather messy flavor but not bad. Has some nice, doughy bread, citrus, and earthy, leafy hops. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes bready with herbal hops in the throat. Alright.

Cask at NWAF, 2011. Brown pour with a beige head. Raisins, pear, red apples and peach in the nose. Very fruity. Crisp apple bite in the flavour, definitely an orchard fruit feel to it. Unsurprisingly a fruity finish.

(Cask at Castle, Chancery Lane, London, 24 Nov 2010) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, raisins and dusty hops. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, toast and dusty hops in a fairly bitter finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Quite enjoyable.

Cask (GBBF 2010) - Dark brown with red tinges. Roasted aroma with notes of coffee and malt. The taste is also malty with coffee and plain chocolate detected.

From cask. Pours dark brown with a little orange glare and a small tan head. Aroma is fruity and slight malty. Caramelish too. Bitter, roasted and breadish dark. Roasted dark malty and breadish - bitter and slight fruity too.
