Cask at Victoria, Derby. Pours a dark reddish-brown with minimal off-white head. There’s malts and alcohol in the aroma. In the mouth it is slightly bitter with a creamy texture. Plenty of malts in the flavour plus traditional hops and autumn fruits. Later on there are hints of red wine gum and ginger leading to a slightly dry and fruity finish. This is reasonable but a bit strange.

Handpull cask at the Wild Boar, Warwick. Brownish gold and clear with a very thin beige/khaki head. Light malty aroma, notes of toffee. Sweet taste, simple with slightly fruited malty notes turning a little bitter on the finish. Orange peel and caramel in the aftertaste. Light body, soft carbonation. A simple basic bitter done very well. Nice one.

Draft at the Wild Boar, Warwick. Poured a murky golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is peachy, apricot. The flavour is light sour, with a smooth, earthy, grainy, mineral, tart peach palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Served fairly cool which suited the beer. I kinda liked it when I didn’t really expect to.
