Cask at the Wild Boar, Warwick. A very clear medium amber pour, no carbonation and a creamy white head with some heavy lacing. This is a beer that you will either love or hate. The aroma is weak, but there is an intense grassy, floral taste and a lingering bitterness that sticks around on the palate for quite a while. For the record, I liked it, but I think with different hops it could be a whole lot better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at the Wild Boar, Warwick. I tasted this ale at the brewery earlier this year, but the slightly more mature version is a big step up. A gorgeous dark mahogany pour with a signature creamy, slightly off white head. A malty aroma, with a lovely smooth roasted malty flavour with surprisingly little bitterness. At 5.2% it's a little stronger than an average English bitter, but there was little evidence of that. Well, not in the taste anyway :-) A truly wonderful session beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at the Wild Boar, Warwick. Poured a lovely clear golden brown with a white creamy head and some lace. Very little in the way of an aroma, but a lovely smooth, refreshing, malty flavour with I swear a hint of licorice! Maybe itโ€™s just me. A gorgeous beer though and a perfect English bitter. This is so much better than the taster I had at the brewery earlier this year. Well done guys, a real winner! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(young) sample at the brewery. Decent off-white head. Clear dark pour. Nice porter. Will have to re-review this when I can find it on tap.
