Pretty true to label. 440ml can. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malts and coffee. Beer is just off dry, rich dark malts stout and nice coffee flavours, low bitterness. Not much caramel sweetness so don’t expect a desert stout.
Good.

Can, Pak 'n' Save, Queenstown. Yellow, medium white head, ok lasting. Medium citrusy nose with some sweet tropical notes. Moderate bitterness, grassy and dry. Lasting aftertaste, light body. Ok, decent hoppy brew.

Can from Hamilton Beer & Wine. Pours murky dark ruby amber with beige foam. Aroma: malt, caramel, toffee, biscuit, red berries, earthy. Taste: light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter, follows the aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. A nicely accomplished red IPA.

On tap at a restaurant in Wanaka. Pours gold. Bread, sulfur, lemon, bit too acidic. Nothing too interesting. 636311

On tap at Smiths. Pours hazy bright orange yellow, just like a hazy IPA. Orange, perfume, grapefruit, lemon, bubblegum, banana, bit of a papaya thing I think. Good soft body. Decent.

Tap at Kai Whakapai Bar. Clear golden with small white head. Sweet malts, light toasty, biscuits, Dutch beschuit, bitter grassy hops, light fruity. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a bit crisp feel. OK.

(On tap) Slightly hazy golden amber with tiny white head. Gentle aroma of biscuit and herbs. Medium body with good carbonation. Nice balanced taste of toffee malt sweetness and fruitiness in the start and hoppy bitterness in the finish. Very good.

Bottled, thanks baggio! Black, small beige head. Licrorice aroma. Dryish with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Light citrus, plenty of licorice. Roasty malt bitterness.

Bottle at Endo’s house, 25/05/13, thanks to DW. Light black with a thin tan head that dissipates to the edge. Nose is dark malts, liqourice, dark fruit, brown sugar, faint brett aroma (not intentional I suspect!). Taste comprises lightly soured dark fruits, chocolate, light roast malt, a little brett in the flavour, sugars. Full bodied with fine carbonation, light boozey notes in the finish. Ok stuff - lacking balance somewhat, but drinkable none the less, perhaps a litte infected but not so drastic as to prevent it being drinkable?!
