Description
Our story originates from the dreams of a German immigrant and his passion for beer. Otto Bemberg, who arrived in our country in 1852, founded the Cervecería Argentina in the city of Quilmes in 1888. After two years, on October 31, 1890, the first chopp was served and from there the iconic beer began to be sold under the Quilmes brand, in honor of the old indigenous name of the town, where this dream materialized. These would be just the first steps of a project that, over time, would become one of the main companies in Argentina. During the years to come, the company grew exponentially, in 1910 it reached 100% beer production.

In 2002 we sealed the strategic association with AmBev and in 2006 we finalized the transfer of our majority shareholding package. We are currently part of AB-InBev, the world's leading brewing company, based in Leuven, Belgium, with a portfolio of more than 200 brands.

Bottle shared at THT July massive thanks to Jmgreenuk. Pours clear golden with an off white head. Aroma of light malt and grain. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at the Deanso’s monthly RB tasting, July 2013. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is big malt leading to a weak bitter malty flavour with little else really.

sample at Dean’s Monthly Den Haag tasting. Thin white head. Clear pale golden pour. A bit bland.

12oz bottle. Inoffensive classic aroma. Actively rising fast carbonation bubbles..thin, steady head. Corny, grainy, cheap flavor. A touch of faint hop crispness makes it just a pinch better than US macros. Bland, factory beer.

Put on a dvd with Mardadonas greatest hits. Open a bottle of Quilmes. Relax and enjoy. Ok (a bit thin) lager. Great football!

Bottle, Buenos Aires. Dark brown, dark sweet sugar aroma. Sweet palate, with a touch of burnt sugar bitterness. More balanced and more drinkable than most of the Brazilian macro darks.
