Description
Our story originates from the dreams of a German immigrant and his passion for beer. Otto Bemberg, who arrived in our country in 1852, founded the Cervecería Argentina in the city of Quilmes in 1888. After two years, on October 31, 1890, the first chopp was served and from there the iconic beer began to be sold under the Quilmes brand, in honor of the old indigenous name of the town, where this dream materialized. These would be just the first steps of a project that, over time, would become one of the main companies in Argentina. During the years to come, the company grew exponentially, in 1910 it reached 100% beer production.
In 2002 we sealed the strategic association with AmBev and in 2006 we finalized the transfer of our majority shareholding package. We are currently part of AB-InBev, the world's leading brewing company, based in Leuven, Belgium, with a portfolio of more than 200 brands.

33 cl bottle. Light clear golden with a small white head. Sweet lightly malty aroma. Not much flavour. Drinkable, but far from exiting.

Imported from my RateBeer account as Quilmes Cristal (by Cerveceria Malteria Quilmes SAICAY (AB InBev)):
Aroma: 3/10, Appearance: 2/5, Taste: 4/10, Palate: 3/5, Overall: 8/20, MyTotalScore: 2/5
2/IV/2012 - 75cl bottle @ Moo! (London) - BB: 5/I/2013 (2012-314)
Note: lol @ Holy's rating. Totally right, my friend! Another country ticked!
Light yellow beer, small white aery head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit yeasty, metallic. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: some citrus, bitter hoppy, pretty watery, little sour. Aftertaste: little sour, metallic, slightly bitter. Boring as hell, but it works with a good steak! Did have a bottle of wine after this, though.

Tastes a little sweet, and very boring. A touch of foulness but only a touch. On average better than most of the ilk Quilmes churns out. Possibly their crowning achievement. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king... 1L bottle.

Pours yellow with a small head that quickly fades to nothing.Nose shows hay, sweet straw, faint funky notes and sweet corn.Similar flavours: hay, cardboard, cooked vegetables. Pretty bad stuff, very cloying, no bitterness.Could use lots more carbonation.

A little skunky and by little I mean virtually no taste of hops. It finished with a bit of foulness then nothing. Might be better than Quilmes, and it costs a bit less, so it’s worth buying if those are the options. 1 L bottle in Mar del Plata.
