Cask (handpump) @ NWAF 2013, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.Light unclear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, pale malt, fruity, flowers, hibiscus. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet flowers - fruit, fruity, sugary fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130124]

Bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, very dark, chestnut brown. Thin, tight, lasting, beige head. Nice looking beer. Milk chocolate. Ripe peach. Some dark plumminess. All with an underlying, grapefruit juiciness. Taste is chocolate sweet. A little woody dryness. Smooth, milky coffee palate. Quite a big, bitter, roast finish. Liked it a lot.
