Yellow colour with a white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Also a very fruity and hoppy flavour with a fine malty background. We thought this was the best student in the class because of the nice label. And it was absolutely right :-)

Cask at Pig’s Ear Beer Festival, London. Hazy orange/amber. Intense aroma of spicy hop and smoke. Dry with medium-full body, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and dense, packed with spicy hops. Long sweaty bitterness. Concentrated flavour, but drinkability is lost as it gets a bit sticky.

Cask@Pigs Ear Beer Fest 2011. Goldeny amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is quite much a bitter meets a golden ale with some slightly more malty and fruity notes. Flavour is rather similar in a nice balance. Long floral and grassy bitterness in the finish.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2011, London. Pours clear gold with a fine, white head. Nice hop aroma of orange citrus and pine. Decent flavor, mild sticky citrus. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky, finely resinous finish, with some bread, sugar and lingering juicy citrus. Very good IPA.

On Cask at Nerax North Poured a deep golden color with tiny bubbles on top. Smells a bit to heavy on the sulfur right away and that aroma fails to go away through the half pint. Sweet bready malt aroma and citrus/earthy hops fill out the aroma nicely. Taste follows the smell fairly well. Bread and earth/citrus and not so much sulfur although I smell it with every sip. Medium to thin body, light level of carbonation with a slick mouthfeel. My first beer at Nerax N and ironically my least favorite. I’m not sure if the cask was mishandled, my palette wasn’t ready, but I really didn’t enjoy this beer.

Cask, handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham, 03.11.11 Pours light gold with a slight haze. There is a very light fruitiness and some citrus showing, however I didn’t find this that hoppy at all and couldn’t really see it being anywhere near a proper IPA. It was fine but not as good as the Empire Kismet which I’d had beforehand. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov13 3.1 Had this again on Cask, gravity NWAF, Manchester in company of Dad, Pauline and Baz 20.01.12 Pours warm gold, soft in the mouth, slightly rough edge to the hoppiness, bitterness lingers, drying on the finish.
