Tap at the Windsor Castle, Lye. Poured a clear light yellow colour with a thin white head. The aroma is hoppy and resinous. The flavour is weak bitter acidic resinous. As far as lagers go this is somewhat different and rather drinkable.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Cotteridge Wines. Pours clear, dark brown with a moderate, creamy beige head. Dry dark bread in the nose, some ash and earth. Light sweet flavor with tobacco, earth, some dried berries, faint leather, dusty cocoa. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Light sweet finish with dry chocolate, subtle roast, a bit of wet tobacco, burnt leaves. Nothing special but OK.

Bottled. Quite close to pitch black colour (very deep rubyish black) with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is caramel, mild toast, some chocolate cookies and mild "crackers". Flavour is mild ripe fruits, some toast, caramel and mild raisins as well. A bit thin in the body, but still quite much aroma and flavour to it.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is maize, some earth, grass, grains and mild floral notes as well. Flavour is quite similar with some mild rubbery and citrusy notes as well. Not that good, and actually feels a bit unclean as for the rubbery notes. Also being quite watery.

Bottled (from AbM). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is quite genuine of mild salt water, some grainy and grassy notes along with some bread. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some floral and mild British like bitterness to it.
