Sample #26 at FoBAB, listed only as "English Style Barleywine aged in bourbon barrels." And at 13% ABV. This may be my last post. A full-on barley wine nose. Can't fault that at all. Sips settle in like a fine barley wine, full of malt and alcohol. And, since the PA is playing "Closing Time" by Semisonic, I believe they are trying to get us to leave.

A touch of cloud but mostly clear golden with a tall white head. Really nice lager. A touch of sour on a clean German lager. Some toasty malts and herbal notes. The sour note pops back up in the finish. Medium bodied. A nice balance of the foeder profile. Good beer.

Clear copper with a white head. Citrus and pine with plenty of sweet malt. Heavy on the hoppy bitter side and lighter on the malt. Medium to full body. A bit of dry finish. A nice version of the PT.
