Description
Rip Rap Brewing is a small microbrewery in Norfolk, VA. It was born out of a brewing passion by ‘Liam, who started homebrewing while still serving in the Coast Guard. With the help of another Coastie, Ben, Rip Rap Brewing Co opened in April of 2016. Since then, the tasting room has expanded from four beers on tap to more than double that, started distributing beers to a small number of bars and restaurants in the local area, and has participated in a variety of beer festivals. Rip Rap is always looking for new styles of beer to bring to the ever rotating taps in the tasting room.

Can at the brewery in Norfolk Virginia. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting off white cap. Aroma is soft wheat bread grains, melon balls, soft squishy fruit. Palate is semi sweet, light hop spicy, moderate carbonation. Flavour is composed of soft wheat grains, floral citrus, pine, melon balls, white grape. Nice. Very easy going.

Tap at the brewery, Norfolk, VA. It is no doubt an absolutely spot on Schwarzbier. It has that deep coffee like ending, a lasting foam and is still gluggable. Not Mt favourite style but I really enjoy this. Great.

Tap at the brewery, Norfolk. What a smashing pilsner. Slight sweetness in the aroma. Slightly grass hops and a good crunchy bitterness. It's almost perfect as pilsner goes imo. What a nice surprise.
