Can from BottleCraft on India Ave. Pours hazy gold with a fizzy/creamy white head. Aroma has moderate levels of clove and banana. Med body or so. Flavor has firm clove and there is banana. Some wheat too. Fairly dry. Not bitter - clove substitutes for that. Pretty tasty hefe.

Can from BottleCraft on India Ave. Pours clear dark brown with a creamish tan head. Aromas of chocolate, dark malt and a bit of coffee. Med minus body. Flavor is the aroma. It's bitter for me, but not very so. Coffee gets stronger with time. Good for the style. Quite clean in a malty way.

Can from BottleCraft on India Ave. Pours bright gold with a somewhat fizzy white head. Aroma of mixed fruits with a light spice note. Med body plus a bit. Flavor is bready, strongly opposed by spice and mixed fruits. Melon. Grass and spice seem present. Finally a hint of citrus. Nice flavors. Nice alcohol level. Not a trace of fusil oils. I'm putting it in the category of the old Sam Adams Impy Pils.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours brassy gold with a creamish near-white head. Mosaic aroma. Floral/fruity. Near med body. Flavor is floral/fruity, mildly bready, and leaves a touch of honey on my lips. Decently dry. Pleasingly bitter. Nice drink.

On tap at The Brewhouse, San Juan Capistrano on 15th March 2019 (part of a Flight). Mahogany body, wispy beige head. Sweet malty brew, a typical Doppelbock in all aspects; they never seem to have the body depth their alcohol content should merit.

Can from Trader Joe's in Davis, CA. Pours brassy gold with a large foamy/creamy white head. Aroma is bready with some grassy hop. Near med body. Flavor is bready with spicy hop - quite Noble - but I wondering about the grass in the aroma. Crisp and clean. Good drink.

Draft pour enjoyed at Hamiltons, San Diego. Listed as a Black Lager, so still some info to clear up here. First taste, clearly a black lager. Thicker body. Good roast. Bold toasty malt, cool and clean finish. A touch of a doughy malt afterthought. Unique brew. Enjoyed this.
