Bottle @ PINT Winterbier 2015, small sample. Almost clear orange color, short frothy head. Aroma is spicy of yeast, slight ginger, bit caramel and roast from malts. Bit bitter in taste, bit sweet, bit spicy and dry. Ok-ish.

Sampled at PINT Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2015. Clear rusty orange color, small to average sized beige head that diminishes quickly. Smell and taste malts, quite herbal, lightly hops, slightly bitter. Average body, a bit fizzy carbonation.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Unclear yellow with a white head and lots of small floaties. Flavor is sweet, malty, sulfur and burnt plastic. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Disgusting. 170115

Bottle, 6.5% gusher. Unclear dark yellow with big white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, phenols, hops and burned plasic. Flavour is malt, yeast, phenols, burned plastic, fruit, hops, grapefruit, little over carbonated, sulfur andmedium bitter.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy amber-brown colour, thin beige head. Aroma of spices, caramel, orange peel, malts, fruitcake. Flavour is likewise, not as sweet as expected though decent bitterness, light yeasty, some earthy chocolate, overall a little too watery and thin. Light-bodied. OK, but could use more body. Tastes like a Belgian winter ale.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy orange to reddish color, medium sized white to off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is soapy with a touch of lemongrass. Taste is soapy again with prams again a light touch of lemongrass. Unbalanced and just not nice at all. Drainpour unfortunately.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy orange to amber colour with a medium to large sized off-white head. Smells fluor hapje van de tandarts, chemical, soapy, shampoo. Tastes fluor hapje again and very soapy. Good stuff to bathe in probably. Dreft. Thin to medium body, quite a lot of carbo.

33cl Bottle from Sterk Avondverkoop. Hazy golden orange colour, off-white head. Aroma of loads of nasty yeast, plastic, dead stuff, hint of hops. Flavour is dead yeast, plastic, burnt plastic, some lemongrass, firm but nasty bitterness. Off. Please NHB, get your heads out of your dead yeast fetish, and start brewing some decent beers, so contract brewers don’t have to suffer from your incompetence.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Cloudy amber color. Big almost white head, rocky, with good retention and some lacing. Aroma’s: resin/pine, citrus/lemon, herbs (lavender notably). Herbal aroma is stronger retronasal, also with light laurel/drop/aniseed. Flavor is moderate bitter, herbal, with a light sweetness. Medium bodied. Quite high carbo. Finish is firm bitter, herbal. Lavender’s a strange herb to add to beer, and I wouldn’t want this every day, but actually I quite like this,
