Description
HUSH is born out of a shared love of beer, seasonal drinking, a passion for the wide variety of beer styles available and enjoying great times socialising over a beer. Our goal is to bring a variety of great local beers to the Northwich area and to share our passion for beer.

Chris and Simon started HUSH after meeting at Northwich Home Brew Crew and becoming instant friends. Individually they both harboured dreams of starting a brewery and found that together they have been able to pursue this shared passion.

We started brewing commercially in 2021 and have rapidly had to expand.

We aim to brew a fantastic range of traditional and modern beers. We love seasonality in beer and look to bring that out in our range.

Wigan Beer Festival 2026, Beer#22. Clear golden coloured brew to start my day two.. Sessionable pale ale, mild bread, nothing particularly memorable here though.

Very slightly hazy amber gold with a frothy / creamy white head and a soft fruity aroma. Smooth and creamy, mellow biscuit malt with fruity notes and citrus hop bitterness, finishes dry and bitter.

Pendle Beer Festival 2026 Beer#5. Mildly hazed dark amber, not looking the greatest but its texture is good. Has a very traditional taste, light sweetness to a pleasantly light dark malt character.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a pale straw with minimal scummy almost white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma – just hints of malts and citrus. In the mouth it is quite sweet but with a little underlying sharpness. Flavour has floral hops, lemon and tangerine with citrus coming through strongly later. Traces too of grapefruit and kiwi. Finish is slightly fruity. This is reasonable, nice and refreshing and not too much citrus.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a cloudy chestnut brown with a small scummy cream head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly malts and nuts, but also traces of floral hops. In the mouth it is quite bitter with a creamy texture but also a little underlying sweetness. Flavour has traditional hops and malts with hints of ginger and lucozade coming through later leading to a slightly dry finish. This is decent – a nicely rounded beer.
