Dark brown with a fairly large long lasting light brown head
aroma of quite fruity hops, and roasted malts. more fruity than most black ipa's. aroma feels soft. craft-beer like. not industrial in any way.
flavor is more traditional black ipa'ish with roasted malts dominating. There are also hoppy notes of course, flowery hoppy, citrus fruity hoppy. There is something about the beer that feels unbalanced or clashing, i think it might be more smoked malts (or hard roasted malts) than usual for a black ipa, doing something with the fruity hops. Not the best black ipa i've had, but it is very complex with a lot to explore, and should be tasted bc of its uniqueness. I hope kasper will make more black ipa's and explore/expand on this recipe.

Bottle, 2 years past BBD. Cloudy dark golden, small offwhite head. Yeasty (not very Belgian), dark berry and green grape aroma, sweet berries, some glue and vinegar. Malty, yeasty, sweet fruity flavour, sweet yeasty, almost sugary. Weird but old but weird.

Thanks Henrik! Slightly hazy amber colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, mild toasted tones with some herbal elements as well as some nettle. Flavour is toffee, grains, mild toasted tones with some herbal, grassy and mild floral elements to it. Finishes with a somewhat wooden bitterness.

Can, 14%. Sweet liquorice and malt syrup aroma. Black colour. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is sweet. Sweet liquorice followed by a note of freshly brewed coffee. A hint of acid in the finish along with a syrupy sweetness. Has a good warming alcohol note, but no alcohol bitterness or burn.

Can, 6%. Quite metallic aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Good fairly stable white head. The flavour is lemony, acidic. Also yeasty, but more like baking yeast than estery Belgian yeast. High carbonation. Thinnish mouthfeel.

Can, 14%. Very malty aroma with notes of bread and malt syrup. Almost clear dark copper or light chestnut colour. Big semi-stable frothy creamy off-white head. The flavour is sweet and caramelly with a very spicy hop note. High bitterness with a fairly acidic finish. The alcohol burns a bit, and I am sure that 11 or 12 per cent ABV would have been sufficient, but ok.
