0,33l bottle @ Sake Shop Gotunda. Pours very dark brown with a low tan head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts with belge esters. Flavor is sweet roasted malts with belge esters, alcohol, hops. Very nice.

deep golden color. Nice roasted malt character, excellent bready character. Slightly sweet and bitter. Perfectly balanced. Omg this is absolutely amazing. By far the best take on the style in Japan

slightly hazy golden color. Soft hop. Lemon and grassy hop character. Medium bitterness. Well balanced, clean. Super drinkable. Good take on the style
Sorachi cheesiness is lovely! Quite thin though. Little sweet.

Kunitachi 1926 Kolsch 4.5% 12 IBU Very pale straw gold, bready straw and cardboard soda bread aroma. Kind of meh but ok.

Tap at Umineko. Fizzy gold. Bit of malt and lemon in the nose, quite faint. Malty, grainy flavor, biscuits, honey, lemon, orange. Boring. Like a Japanese kolsch from the 1990s. Really just a plain golden ale.

Thick hazy yellow with a medium white head. Powerful aroma full of grapefruit, citrus, lychee, and light sweetness. Medium thin body. Completely comes off the rails when you sip it. None of the bold grapefruit or other bitter fruits in the flavor that are in the aroma. Some odd and light sweetness. Finish has a puckering dryness.

Light amber hued beer with minimal head. Definite saison notes such as herbal, berries, a touch of must, and just a little heat from some cracked pepper. There is a mild yet noticeable sour tinge to the whole thing which gives it a little depth that otherwise wouldn’t be there. It’s a nice brew that borders delicate but hangs back just enough.
