Towering dense light-brown head, slowly receding to fully muddy dark brown beer. Chocolate, wood, melanoidins, praliné, liquorice. Perfumey, sweet and just a tad mineral, bit fir needles. Almonds, and lots of chocolate and liquorice. Quite well-bodied, and creamy - slick from the head; good carbonation. The nose (as the blurb) prepared me for something special. The taste however proved to be more as thirteen to the dozen. Maybe a bit more boldness in applying the kelp? Thanks to the TZG assistants!

0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', to be drunk as quick as possible. Hazy, very dark reddish brown with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy, minimally herbal aroma of molasses, caramel, raisins, figs, clove and maybe traces of seaweed. Quite sweet, malty, fairly yeasty, moderately herbal-spicy and slightly fruity taste of caramel, chocolate, molasses, raisins, figs, nutmeg, clove and light seaweed, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, rather yeasty, dry, a little herbal-spicy finish. Medium body, extremely effervescent mouthfeel, probably lively carbonation. A tad too yeasty, dry and effervescent, still quite drinkable, far from being great though.
