I’m Alex and I am Dogs Grandad Brewery. I have been brewing for just over 3 years now – on my home set up, volunteering at breweries over London and doing a few courses to fine tune. Dogs Grandad was born when I decided to turn my passion into a profession – and I cant wait to get started.
At Dogs Grandad Brewery I am going to be making hop forward beers that are easy to drink using my favourite hops and a neutral yeast. The beers will be hazy but the ABV wont be over the top. All beers are Vegan friendly and I only use quality, natural ingredients in every beer that I brew.

On tap at Dogs Grandad Brewery and Taproom, half-pint shared with Finn. A patchy white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass, clear golden body. Moderate dusty hops on the nose, hints of orange. Smoothly ripe citrus to the taste buds. Ends mid-sweet fruity. Satisfying. (Brixton, London 20.11.2021).

On tap at Dogs Grandad Brewery and Taproom, half-pint shared with Finn. Filmy layer, next-to-clear golden body, scattered lacing. Moderate smell of ripe citrus. Citrus flavoured, including orange and lemon, joined by a biscuit bite. Piney hints to a bittersweet end. Quite alright. (Brixton, London 20.11.2021).

Can bought at Three Hounds, Beckenham. Aroma of dark malts with a flowery edge. Cloudy darkest brown. Creamy light beige head. Light bitter. Underlying sweetness. Sour edge. Combines citrus, herbs and chocolate. Light-medium bodied. Creamy, with chalky follow up. Long slightly astringent finish. Enjoyable low key BIPA. But what's up with the chalk?
