Can. Almost black, a cm of tan head.Just expired and said to have mellowed, coffee-wise, but there's still plenty of coffee in the aroma. Some caramel, firmish roast behind. Nice smooth texture - good use of oats. A decent balance of somewhat fruity dark roasted coffee, dark sugars and hard roasted malt. Another good stout from AVNGE.

Tried on our beer flight in Boilermaker House, Melbourne. Black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma and taste are malty and slight smoke, some roasted coffee. Rich but not overly full bodied.

Can. Black with a 1/2cm tan head. Rumbling chocolate aroma with roast, some berries and oranges. Smooth texture. Sweet chocolate, acrid roast, citrusy bitterness. Pretty good but shaded by the original.

Can. Black with a cm of tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate syrup with roast, coffee and vanilla. And although it's sweet, the chocolate is not quite allowed to boss the show here: the roast is firm enough to keep it having a savoury edge. Perhaps it's a little salty too? Nicely done.

Can. Nearly clear amber with a loose white head. Aroma of breadcrust, grapefruit, weeds. Shy of medium bodied with crusty bread, weeds and some pine before unquestionably sufficient bitterness. Pretty good - much more assertive bitterness than most hoppy beers at present.

11/10/2022. Can at Bo Gurks, Edithvale. Pours black with a small creamy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, nut, dark fruits. Moderate sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily, average carbonation. Bitter roasted finish. Good.

Can. Dark brown with a good cm of light tan head that lasts pretty well. Quite citrusy aroma with roast and some chocolate sitting behind. But roast and bittersweet chocolate are to the fore in the taste. Dryish but not mean. Clean with firm bitterness that's as much spicy as citrusy. Good weight and balance.

Can. Unclear amber with a dense cream head. Aroma of stinky tropical fruit, rye spiciness, pine. Lighter bodied and not as sweet as expected, there is nonetheless some crust to the bready malt as well as tropical fruit and punchy spicy bitterness. Not sure I'm pick it as a DIPA but it's pretty good.

A good old fashioned WCIPA with plenty of bitterness. There are notes of durian, chocolate, grapefruit, cantaloupe and honey in the aroma. The taste is less complex, but it's got a satisfying bite and body.
