Deep ruby color, decent beige color. Chocolaty, a bit toasted aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish malty, chocolate, some grass, backing alcohol and hops. Nice. Well-balanced.

Bottled. Very deep ambery brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is toffee, mild toasted and ashy notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some ashes, mild toffee, dark fruits and some wooden drynss, Quite mouthdrying palate.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.Clear medium to dark red brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, light to moderate hoppy, hay, soapy notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, chocolate malt, coffee dusty finish, cacao notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110203]

33 bottle @ PRZH Winterbierfest (Brewed especially for this occasion). Dubbed a CBA (Centennial Black Ale). Almost black color. Aroma’s citrus/ grapefruit, spicy hops, roast. Flavor somewhat sweet & bitter. Finishes bitter with hints of bitter chocolate & coffee. Pretty good.

Draft @ Kafe Belgie. Brown colour, fluffy beige head. Aroma is caramel, spice and fruits. Flavour is caramel malts, fruits, alcohol. Sharp boozy finish. Bad stuff.

Bottled @ Kafe Belgie. Dark color, short head. Aroma of roasted malt, hint of coffee, some hop. In between a sweet stout and a schwarzbier, decent bitterness and nice creamy mouthfeel. I was quite surprised. Very decent beer!

Bottle 330ml.Initial sparkling, clear medium yellow color with a huge, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate yeasty, overriped fruit, leather notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sharp, fruity, phenol, overriped fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101016]

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy deep golden with floating impurities and a lively white head. Fruity nose also with some yeasty astringency. Solid body, lots of carbonation, lots of fruit and yeast, and phenols. Rough bitterness. Crude. 161010

Hazy mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with hard roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and english liquerice. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, caramel and chocolate. Hints of english liquerice.

Bottled. A hazy dark brown beer with brown head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, spices, cardemomme, and coriander, leading to a dry spicy finish.
