Macks Ølbryggeri is the northernmost brewery in the world. The brewery was founded in 1877 by Ludwig Markus Mack. Mack is the fourth largest brewery in Norway, and is probably one of the strongest brands from Northern Norway. Our main production is located in Nordkjosbotn, approximately 70 km from Tromsø. Mack's historical sites in Tromsø houses our administration, the beer shop Kjeller 5, our legendary pub Ølhallen and Mack Microbrewery.
Fra dagligvarebutikk i Tromsø. Varm gylden. Litt uklar. Lavt luftig skum som varer en stund. Spotlacing. Ferskenaroma. Smaken tørket frukt. Syrlig, lett bitter avslutning.
Fra dagligvarebutikk i Tromsø. Delt med A-L i heimen. Strågul. Uklar. Middels høyt kremaktig skum som daler passe fort. Aroma av appelsinskall & koriander. Smaken parfymert. Kunstig. Vassen. Antydning til bitterhet i avslutninga.
500ml can from my local Prix store. Chalk white head with satisfying duration, spotty lacing, in fact near clear pale golden body. Moderate smell of dusty hops with a citric scent. Rounded flavour profile of herbal hops, grass, pale malt, and a citric backdrop. Drying close with noticeable bitterness. Clean on the swallow. Well suited with our Sunday pizza. (Tromsø 12.03.2023).
500 ml can, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Nearly clear golden colour, moderate to small white head. Pleasant floral and herbal aroma of Saaz hops. Fairly crisp flavour, herbal hops again, moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. There has been many disappointments from Mack during the last few years, but this beer is not bad at all.
Can from the Kings of Tromso Rune and Finn. Thanks. Dark brown and dark Ruby colour lasting cream head. Aroma odlf chocolate malt. Good chocolate malty beer . I rather liked it. A good malty doppelbock with good drinkability. Thank you my friends.
Amber. Klar. Lavt tett skum som raskt blir film. Litt lacing. Aroma av karamell & mørke plommer. Smaken som aromaen. Mer fruktdominans etter hvert. Behagelig bitter avslutning. Vel mye kullsyre.
Canned (from Kiwi Hesseng). Amber colour with a small white foamy head. Aroma is nutty, toffeeish and some wooden tones. Flavour is nutty, some earthy, herbal and mild sweet caramel. OK, and quite much what's expected from a Nordic macro xmas beer.
