Description

500ml bottle from Bliznetsy in Moscow. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aroma is caramel malt, grain. Taste is light sweet, caramel malt, hay. Light bitter finish. Although, I find it hard to believe that beer in the Soviet 1930s would have a shelf life of a whole year and be made without adjuncts, this one is pretty flavourful and drinkable despite being 3.6%.

Misty deep brown colour. Moderate beige head. Nose: dried figs and dates, plum jam, a hint of spicy yeast. Medium to full body. Taste: fairly malty, lots of dried fruit, light to medium alcohol. Light bitterness. Not the best style sample. Still you get what is written on the label.
