Bottle from B&M, Rochdale. Hazy pale golden with a carbonation. Most things with ginger have this as its dominant taste, and this is no exception, with a fiery spice to proceedings. Its cider is not lost though and this is very evident in its aftertaste.

Bottle from local B & M store – three years ago ! It’s clearly the same product but mine was brewed (under licence) by Westons in Herefordshire. Pours a hazy slightly greenish pale straw with a very brief minimal head. Aroma is strongly ginger – clears the nasal passages ! Ginger again very much in the mouth at first. Then some apple cider flavour comes through, with a hint of peaches, before the ginger reasserts itself. Very strange indeed – but I like it ! (Most cider is too sweet for me)

50cl bottle from B&M (4%) Very thin white head. Very hazy golden pour. Ginger aroma. Overpowering ginger aftertaste. Not my cup of tea.
