Description
When a beer enthusiast and a brewer come together it one household it can only end up in cirrhosis or a brewery. Lucky for us, it was a brewery and we have been brewing modern beer without filtration or pasteurization since 2016. In 2021 we purchased CK tanks in Fenetra / Clock brewery and moved all of our production into this cutting edge facility. Why Chroust? Our names are Karolína and Jirka Chroustovský.

typical czech lager aroma, full bodied, crisp, slightly bready, solid lager bitterness, slighlty sweet. Flavor is malty, very slighlty bready, little bit of hay/grass, sold euro hoppy bitterness towards the end. A tasty and fullbodied czech lager.

Tap at Dno pytle, huge thanks Petr K! Murky dark purple body, pinkish head. Huge maple over tart berries, bit citric almost even in the aroma. Sweetish taste, citric tart touches again, berries and maple mostly, the caramel not coming out too much. Welp, certainly Christmasy!

Tap at Dno pytle. Hazy orange body, off-white head. Light brown sugar and citric notes in the soft aroma. Smooth taste, coconut dominates here, lightly herbal, smooth, bit grainy maltiness, ending with a bitterish finish. A great train beer - though I do hope that the Chroust's fear that it won't be stored properly now won't come true too often.

Tap at Dno Pytle. Clear golden body pierced by lazy carbonation, lasting white head. Catpiss over floral hoppiness in the sweetish aroma, with light maltiness. Somewhat odd taste - though in a classic way. Floral, light catpiss, dry, lightly citric. Okay finish. Solid!

Tap at Dno Pytle. Brownish orange body, off-white head. Pleasant, huge coffee notes in the aroma, covering tropical hoppiness. Sweetish taste, citric fruitiness mainly, bit tropical and a ton of peppers from the coffee. Oh well, that's how it sometimes goes with coffee in beer. But most people liked it anyway, so a win to them!

Gravity (!) at Dno pytle for the Chroust event. So... this is a pretty special brew. Their 2020 Christmas stout with Marshmallows was divvied up in some barrels for aging and, well... 4 years later, only one out of 5-6 if I remember correctly was good to go. And here it is. That's how barrel aging sometimes goes... Black body, off-white head. Creamy aroma, heaps of brett, tart, red wine barrel in evidence (okay, port). Dry taste, acetic, nice and drinkable, with nutty maltiness underneath. Well balanced wild stout, enjoyable!

Tap at Mesuge. Thin body, med-high carbo. Med-high bitterness, light juicy sweetness. Lots of citruses, orange, but also hops ones. Easy drinking, clean, quite good.
