Description
When a beer enthusiast and a brewer come together it one household it can only end up in cirrhosis or a brewery. Lucky for us, it was a brewery and we have been brewing modern beer without filtration or pasteurization since 2016. In 2021 we purchased CK tanks in Fenetra / Clock brewery and moved all of our production into this cutting edge facility. Why Chroust? Our names are Karolína and Jirka Chroustovský.

Tap at Craft House Prague, with Gurthnar. Reddish body, off-white head. Peppery red berry aroma, smooth vanilla notes. Vanilla dominates the smooth taste, sweet blackberry notes. Meh, not a huge fan.

Can at Base Camp. Hazy golden body, off-white thick head. Floral hoppy notes, bit syrupy maltiness, lightly yeasty maybe, huh. Syrupy maltiness, floral and bit herbal hoppy notes with light onion touches, sweetish. Too full of a body for the style and the hop isn't too convincing I'm afraid. Not one of Chroust's winners.... Might try it on tap I guess to give it another chance.

500ml Can - Murky golden. Very strong aroma if mandarin. It's rather pungent and makes it hard to discern what hops were used. The mandarin notes are noticeably more balanced in the taste with notes of orange, grapefruit and herbs.

500ml Can - Murky golden. Pineapple, passion fruit, grapes and orange in the aroma. Grapes, grapefruit, gooseberries, melon and papaya in the taste. Fairly enjoyable and nice to see a session IPA with a more sessionable strength.
