One of my last can of from the coop promotion. As usual a classic and a friend for the summer, refreshing, correct bitter, dry, smooth and mineral, fair, malty, hop, 28.08.24

Tap at The PUB 13, Prague. Clearish golden body, off-white head. Bit perfumey floral and herbal hoppy aroma. Medium body, dry and bitter, big herbal-floral hoppiness, lacking fruity notes expected from at least one of the hops, but this is a damn tasty lager!

Tap at The Pub Praha 13. Med-thin body, med carbo. Med-high bitterness, low sweet, pretty dry. Hops do not shine unfortunately. Feels old, moderately grassy, earthy, but also slightly cheesy. Average at best.

This bottle is coming from Kornwestheim, Heinrich 3000. Best before 12/23, drinking it at night before to pick up my wife at Palézieux. I was a bit disappointed with this one, malty, syrup of malt or a sensation like that, giving an unpleasant sweetness, 26.05.24

The unpasteurised version on tap is still an outstanding pils. Goes down incredibly well with duck, cabbage and Czech dumplings. Nice balance of malt and hops with a clean and satisfying aftertaste. I had this at U zlatého tygra (the Golden Tiger) near the old town square in Prague. No longer Czech owned (Asahi has owned it for several years) but the quality is still there. Still the best of its kind.

Bottle drunk at Sigi's birthday. Crisp, dry, earthy with smooth lightly-metallic bitterness that lasts. Classic and tasty, maybe the best beer in green glass.

Review from 6/24 seems have got lost.Tap. A litre at U Vejvodů. Creamy but very clean with a little singed caramel sweetness and a nice peppery bite. Won’t spoil me from normal tap or can, but noticeably better. - Actually did find normal tap a bit disappointing elsewhere in Prague.

Bottle from local Polish shop, drank at home. Pours golden yellow with sizable, but transient frothy off-white head. Aroma can be either sweet or nutty, depending on angle of glass ! In the mouth is is briefly sweet malts and corn that catch the attention, before some continental hops and bitter metallic taste come through. Metallic feeling lasts into the finish. This is a pretty average macro lager – not for me.
