Very dark brown to black, relatively and nicely frothy off-white head, showing good retention and very nice lacing. Average to good intensity in the aroma: dark bread relatively prominent, quite vivid roasted/coffee, perhaps a hint of chocolate, but also a delicate underlying sweetness/softness with a bit of caramel and a cola-like feeling. Quite good definition. Taste notes are even richer, with the plus of a very pleasant and refreshing, not too dry, touch of floral hops and grassiness in finish/aftertaste. Sweetness and bitterness are both relatively intense per style, with excellent balance in both taste and aftertaste. There's a costant refreshing feeling in the back of things, slightly cola-like, that's just wonderful. Light to medium body, slighlty below average but quite crispy and lively carbonation, while still delicate in feeling; the result is a super drinkable, slightly smooth/soft beer that also has a lively refreshing character. A masterpiece.

Draught Good, very dense yellow, whipped eggwhite - like yellow beer. Diacetyl, buttery, malty. Diacetyl again, if with alleviation of the hops; pale and faintly toasted malts, lots of hopbitterness and fine leaves. Thick MF from the diacetyl, well carbonated. With all the new and exciting brewbars open(ing) in Praha, they still turn out a diacetylbomb as unique newcomer? Ivan, things without you have turned sour. Sorry, buttery.

Drucken på fat på restaurangen. Mörkt mahognyfärgad, mjuk och len, relativt torr men med en brödig sötma som gifter sig fantastiskt bra med huset mat. Mycket gott

Drucken på fat på bryggeriet/restaurangen. Typiskt tjeckisk, mjuk och len, frisk, lätt smörig, oerhört lättdrucken. Mycket gott

Tap at U Fleků, Prague: Very dark brown colored brew with an smoothly sweet bitter taste, hints of chocolate, coffee and some roastiness. Worth the walk and avoiding the tourist trap things, drunk 4 of them and this one is on my "legendy beers" list now.

Tap at the pub. Nearly black with a large beige head that lasts well. Dryish and quite roasty yet creamy. Bitter end. Refreshing. Supremely drinkable.

Tap at the pub. Somewhat cloudy gold with a white head. Soft texture, quite buttery with firm peppery bitterness at the end. Pretty good but not what you come here for.

On tap at U Fleků, Prague. Had many rounds and yet didn't get drunk, so let me tell you: this is very easy to drink. A pale golden pour with a foamy, not very thick, off-white head. Aroma is grass, earth, a tad of paper. Dry and crisp, more on the watery side, good balance and medium bitterness. Could drink it by the gallons.

Draft at the very same pivovar, right after the 2024 edition of the half marathon. A shiny dark brown, almost black, with a thin tan head. Aroma is coffee, licorice, bitter herbs. Dry, medium-bodied, good balance between crispness and bitterness. Medium to long-lingering finish. Very nice Tmavý.
