Opaque dark brown beer, small and short lived tan head. Soft and fairly viscous palate, reasonable fine carbonation on the back end. Big chewy dark malts, absolutely redolent with rich chocolate cake. The robust bourbon barrelling brings big bourbon soaked ripe fruits, a fair whack of bourbon and alcohol spice and an airy and semi dry finish. Robust and tasty.

Black topped with a tan head that soon dissipates.
Nose is chocolate, bourbon barrel, spice, dark malts, toffee.
Taste comprises chocolate, brown sugar melt, flicker of coffee, toffee fudge, barrel tones, touch of coconut.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Solid BA impy.

Rating this version as it is a 22 month increase in the Calvados barrel aging. A mild haze on this dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Airy palate, a little dry, decent fine carbonation. Fairly light bodied malts, a little toffee and caramel, not overly sweet. Big Calvados, alcoholic semi ripe apple, some ripe cider. Apple brandy on the back end, mild alcohol spice. The vanilla is just enough to soften proceedings and, the cinnamon just enough to bring out some apple pie apple. A rich and rewarding barleywine. Has enough about the base to be a non barrel barleywine of interest. With the lovely Calvados barrel on top, this is a winner for me.

Pitch black colour with medium beige head.Aroma is roasted with flavour of vanilla and bourbon nice smooth with oily texture and creamy mild and warming mouth feels nice by style beer.

kolor słomkowy, minimalnie opalizujący, piana biała, skąpa i mało trwała. zapach przyjemny, dość intensywny, lekkie nuty zimnego dymu liściastego, skóra, korek, lekkie nuty kwaskowe, fenole, drożdże szampańskie i minimalne nuty alkoholi wyższych (pozytywne), całość dobrze ułożona i przyjemna. w smaku wytrawne, ale dość treściwe jak na styl, skóra, nuty wędzone zimnego dymu, wyraźne czyste nuty kwaskowe (kwas mlekowy, rabarbar), fenole, białe kwaśne winogrona, drożdże szampańskie, lekkie, dobrze ułożone nuty dzikie. goryczka niska, ale obecna, wędzona, skórzana, krótka, przyjemna. w ustach bardzo pijalne, ale treściwe jak na styl, ściągające od kwasku. nasycenie jak na styl niskie.

A near opaque dark brown beer, small and short lived bubbly dark tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Good creamy rich dark chocolate malts base, good dark malt cream. Decent milk chocolate where the nicely judged vanilla intersects. The multi barrelling adds glorious big boozy richness. Bourbon and whiskey obvious, pretty decent fruity rum. Marsala adding ripe liqueur wine ripe grape and what not. The back end is airy but viscous. Boozy spice linger. Good stuff, seems like an everything but the kitchen sink approach. I like that approach.

Murky dark golden color with low white head.
Aroma: tart citrus, grapefruit, farmyard, light beechwood smoke.
Taste: tart citrus, farmyard, smoke, creamy kefir. Funky AF with beechwood smoke quite recognizable.
Light bodied, lively carbonated.
Tasty, interesting, balanced...well put together.

Vintage 2023, Bottle from www.smakpiwa.pl. first batch. piwo fantastycznie kwasne, wytrawne, przypominajace mi o dosadzeniu 5 krzewow czerwonej porzeczki. Netne i solidnie skrecajaco nawet kwasno. Lubie. Doskonale do sera, niektorych orzechow. Jak na piwa typu sour solidna czapka piany. Polecam.

Bottle shared with me at 100 piv. Assertive highly sour and funky horsey wild, mixed with medium classic grodzis character. Very good, clean, interesting mix. Works well too. Nice!
