Description
Mazák Brewery from Dolní Bojanovice was founded in 2011.
The brewery was founded and continues to operate in the picturesque wine-growing village of Dolní Bojanovice, located in the Lower Moravian valley 8 km from the town of Hodonín.

Over the years, the technology was brought up to the current five-vessel brewhouse, in which the brewery is able to brew a batch with a volume of 1400L. The portfolio of the brewery consists of both classic Czech and German-style lagers, as well as top-fermented beers of the ALE type. To produce beer, it uses domestic malts and hops, as well as foreign hops, which are most often used in the production of special beers.

Tap at NaPalmě. Clear golden body, white head. Sweetish floral, bit spicy and herbal aroma, bit papery. Sweetish, but generally lean and dried out taste, nicely floral, citric, bit herbal and bitterish, maybe some mild honeyish maltiness. Nothing flashy, but a decent tasting beer!

Med-thin bod, med-light candyish and a bit of cara, I guess intentionally. Med-light carbo, could use more. Malt works well with this hops combo, citra especially, so it is hops-forward, exotic, citrusy, also a bit dank. But pretty boring also. Gbng.

Med-thin body, med-high carbo. Med-high bitter, med-light candyish sweet, light caramel. Hops-centered overall though, medium grassy, light zesty, citrusy, dank. Could use more hoppy oomph, feels a bit weak. Clean though, drinkable. Gbng.

0.7l bottle with Gurthnar and Pavel D. Clearish golden body, off-white head. Light sweetish lemongrass aroma. Lean, dry, soft lemongrass-driven taste with very little hop presence, light bitter finish. Emm... not bad but not particularly enticing either.

Med-thin bod, med-high carbo. Pretty dry, low sweet, med-high bitter. Malt in the background. Medium grassy, herbal, med-light zesty citrusy. Pretty easy drinking, good, but not the most intense of hops.

12.10.2025. Bottle from Napoje Bubenec (pic). Med body, med carbo. Me`d-high bitterness, low sweetness. Medium bready maltiness present though. Does not look or taste entirely clean, there are moderate general fruity esters, feels muddy. Hops does not shine, med-light grassy, earthy, fruity. Average. 6,1.

30.1.2026. Tap at Maly pivo. Last of keg. Pretty nice, clean, classic. Grassy hoppy vibe, not entirely Saazish, but close. Thinnish, bubbly, bitter, dry. Quaffable. Very good. 8,1.

Tap at Pivstro. Looks almost pitch black, with a laaaasting creamy beige head. Oh man... very soft aroma dried apricot esters abound, lightly lightly minerally. And it didn't even open up fully yet! Ah, smoooooth maltiness, some roasty and raisiny Tomislav-like vibes, much drier than expected and the huge bitterness coupled with a fair amount of warmth cuts off all the softness. The finish really cuts its wings away and sticks it lower than it should be. Almost fantastic.
